Finding Funding

This section of the website contains many ideas and resources for finding potential sources of funding for research, creative, educational, and community outreach programs.  We encourage you to register with SPIN, an excellent grant search engine, and to sign up for alerts in your area of interest. ORSP staff can also assist you in finding funders. Please contact us to discuss your particular project.

There are two basic funding paths for any project:

• responding to a funding announcement
• submitting an investigator-initiated (unsolicited) proposal

It is important to understand both these paths and also to understand how the University’s guidelines differ for each.
