Kean University to Shift to Remote Operations on Sunday, October 12

Kean University will shift to remote operations on Sunday, October 12, due to the State of Emergency declared across New Jersey in response to the forecasted nor’easter storm. All classes scheduled for Sunday on New Jersey campuses will move to remote instruction, and all in-person activities are canceled. 

Only essential personnel should report to work as required. Employees with questions should contact their supervisors for guidance. Keanu’s Kitchen on the Union campus will remain open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday to serve residential students. 

Kwanghyuk “David” Yoo is an Assistant Professor of Business Law in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Kean University. Before joining Kean, he served as the Law Librarian for Research Services and Adjunct Professor of Law at Emory University School of Law. Dr. Yoo also worked as a Law Clerk at the Office of the Attorney General of Iowa, where he focused on antitrust issues in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to his legal studies at Iowa Law, Dr. Yoo worked for many years with the Korea SMEs & Startups Agency, a government agency supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in South Korea. He was also a Visiting Professor at Seoul Women’s University, where he taught International Economic Law, Public International Law, and International Institutional Law. Dr. Yoo began his career in public service as a Military Police Officer in the Eighth Army, United States Forces Korea. His research and teaching interests encompass business law in a broad sense, including antitrust, international trade, international business transactions, and law and economics.
