Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

At Kean University, a commitment to diversity and the equitable treatment of all members of our community is apparent in every facet of campus life. The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is dedicated to promoting and supporting representation and inclusion at Kean, ensuring that we deliver on our promise of access and opportunity.

In transitioning into his role as the 18th president of Kean University, Dr. Lamont Repollet tasked the membership of the University Planning Council (UPC) with identifying opportunities for improvement to be considered. From this charge, the UPC identified promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the campus community as a priority. The UPC felt as though there was a need to develop campus wide policies and procedures that embodied the spirit of diversity and inclusion, all while providing comprehensive and collaborative resources to support educational and programmatic initiatives. In October, President Repollet announced the establishment of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
