EOF STEPS TO ENROLL
EOF 2024 SUMMER ACADEMY NEXT STEPS
Applicants who have completed the financial aid application, been cleared for EOF eligibility and invited to participate in the 2024 EOF Summer Academy, and have submitted their EOF Cougar Commit form must complete the following steps by June 20, 2024
1. SECURE YOUR SPOT - TWO WAYS TO PAY
Reserve your spot in the Kean Class of 2028 by paying your tuition deposit. Pay by mail or go to kean.edu/deposit using your KeanWISE ID and password provided in your acceptance letter.
1A. HOUSING DEPOSIT (optional)
Students interested in housing during the academic year will pay a $125 non-refundable housing deposit to reserve their room. Apply for housing at kean.edu/housing.
2. Prepare to Enroll (Same-day Placement Testing, Advising, Registration)
2A: Complete Placement Testing: The University's placement test helps determine appropriate placement for reading, writing, and math courses. You can schedule your in-person Placement Testing Appointment through the Cougar App portal at kean.edu/cougarapp.
2B: Get Advised: Following the completion of placement tests, most incoming students will receive academic advising. This guidance will assist you in planning your courses for the upcoming semester.
2C: Course Registration: Once steps 2A and 2B are completed, course registration can take place on the same day with the assistance of a General Education Mentor (GEM). It's highly recommended to register for classes as early as possible to secure preferred course days and times.
**EOF Counselors will be supporting the University's advisement and registration efforts. Be sure to let them know you are participating in the 2024 EOF Summer Academy and would like to work with an EOF Counselor.
3. SUBMIT ADDITIONAL REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR SUMMER ACADEMY ATTENDANCE
Before starting the EOF Summer Academy, all participants must complete a Summer Housing Application and the University's Immunization Requirements. You will receive an email when the Housing Application is available.
4. ATTEND EOF SUMMER ACADEMY ORIENTATION
Incoming EOF Scholars will be able to learn more about the details and expectations of the Summer Academy at the EOF Summer Academy Orientation. Scholars and parents will receive information from key Kean University partners ( Financial Aid, Residence Life, Health Services, etc. ). Scholars will meet EOF Administrators, EOF Counselors, and Summer Residential Counselors. This orientation is specific to the upcoming EOF Summer Academy and is mandatory for all Summer Academy participants. The EOF Summer Academy Orientation is separate from the University's New Student Orientation

5. EOF SUMMER ACADEMY
Attend and successfully complete the one-month EOF Summer Academy.
Dates: July 30th (move-in day) - August 1, 2024*

As a conditionally admitted EOF student, your enrollment will be finalized after you complete the five steps. An EOF grant request for the academic year will be submitted after completing these steps.
