Resident Student Parking
Eligibility
All students registered for an active term are eligible to obtain an annual parking permit. Annual permits are valid from September 1 through August 31. All vehicles must be registered with the Parking Office. Students may register for an ePermit online at: www.kean.edu/parking
Freshman resident students are NOT permitted to bring vehicles on campus.
Freshmen Vehicle & Parking Appeals
First-year resident students are not permitted to have vehicles on campus unless prior approval is granted by the Office of Residence Life.
Freshman students seeking an ePermit hardship exception must first submit a Freshman Parking Appeal Request Form to the Office of Residence Life.
Once your interest request has been processed, Residence Life will email instructions on how to access the Parking Request Application form on the Residence Life Housing Portal.
Students must complete the Appeal Form and submit all required supporting documentation. Supporting documentation must include the student’s full name and Kean ID number and must clearly support one of the following reasons:
- Verification of Employment
- Physician’s Verification
- Unforeseen hardships
Appeals submitted without proper documentation will not be reviewed.
Overnight Parking
Is permitted only in the area between North Avenue and the ORANGE curb/barrier in the Vaughn-Eames parking lot, which is marked for 24-hour parking.
