How to Apply for Housing

Students can only apply for housing after they have been admitted to Kean University. Along with your acceptance packet, accepted students receive their Kean University login and password credentials to access the university’s computerized registration system, “KeanWISE.”

Housing Application Instructions

 

  1. You must first sign into KeanWISE using your Kean credentials.
  2. Once logged in, select the Students menu from the righthand side.
  3. Select the ‘Residence Life Housing Portal.’
  4. Click on Housing Forms and Applications from the menu on the lefthand side and select the application that applies to you. 
  5. Complete the application. You will be prompted to review the contract, answer questions, and list your living request(s), search for a roommate, and submit a $125 application processing fee.

Application Fee

All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable $125 application fee. While completing your housing application, you will be prompted to submit payment for the application fee. Payment must be submitted in order to complete your housing application. 

Housing Accommodations

Students requesting housing accommodations must contact the Office of Accessibility Services and submit a Medical Verification Form.

All residential students are required to purchase a meal plan at the designated rate. The meal plan charge will be imposed when the student is assigned a space in the residence halls. Meal plans expire at the end of each semester and do not roll over to a future semester.
