Puberty and Virtual Reality Project

The purpose of this study is to understand how puberty affects the way our brain processes rewards and stress in virtual reality environments. 

Your child’s involvement helps researchers advance translational neuroscience research for stress and youth mental health in the long-term 

What’s involved? 

    Total estimated time: ~2.5 hours 

•At home:  

   Online questionnaires (~30 min) 

•During one time lab visit: 

   a. Four times of saliva collection to       measure stress hormones (~20 min) 

  b. Public speech in VR session (~15 min) 

  c. Computerized reward tasks (60 min) 

   d. A short follow-up survey (20min)
