Educator – Designer – Historian Jeffery McCullough is an Assistant Professor of Interior Design in the CIDA-Accredited Kean University BFA Interior Design program. A graduate of the History of Design M.A. program at Parsons School of Design / The New School, McCullough’s teaching and research is centered on design history and professional development in the field of interior design. As a frequent presenter on panels and at conferences, primary research topics of “Design Democracy” and “Expanding the Canon of Design History” are constantly engaged with and expanded upon. Active learning modules for design history education form the foundation for McCullough’s pedagogical approach, as does his residential Interior Design career of twenty-five years. At Kean, Jeffery teaches History of Architecture and Interiors Survey I and II, World Design I and II, Internship Prep, and Internship courses. In addition to teaching, McCullough serves as Professional Development Director on the board of the New Jersey chapter of ASID.
