Specialized Accreditation
The Office of Accreditation and Assessment (OAA) provides comprehensive oversight of both institutional and specialized accreditation processes, ensuring ongoing compliance with the standards, policies, and reporting requirements of all accrediting bodies.
OAA supports the academic programs in the development and submission of key accreditation materials, including self-studies, annual reports, substantive change requests, and responses to site visit findings. The office works closely with academic programs and college leadership to monitor timelines, prepare for site visits, maintain documentation, and support continuous communication with accreditors.
Through these efforts, OAA supports a culture of continuous improvement by promoting data-informed decision-making, strengthening assessment practices, and ensuring that Kean University maintains a high standard of academic quality and accountability to students, the academic community, and external stakeholders.

Accreditation Fee Processing and Budget Responsibility
The Office of Accreditation and Assessment is responsible for processing accreditation-related fees for all accredited programs. Please note that while OAA manages the processing of these fees, the costs are charged to the accreditation budgets of the respective colleges, not to the Division of Strategic Analytics and Data Illumination (SADI) budget used by OAA.
