Open Enrollment for Supplemental Benefits in Workday for ALL Full-Time Employees
You may now make your benefit elections in Workday during open enrollment exclusively for the following benefits: Vision Plan, Legal Plan, and all Lincoln Financial Plans (Employee Voluntary Life, Employee AD&D, Spouse Life, Spouse AD&D, Child Life).
This does NOT apply to the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP). Open Enrollment for the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) including your medical, prescription drug and dental benefits will continue to be administered through mynjbenefitshub /benefitsolver.
Dates: October 1 to October 31, 2023
All changes to coverage made during this Open Enrollment period will be effective January 1, 2024.
On October 1, you will receive a Workday inbox item that you may use to make your elections for 2024 and submit them to the Office or Human Resources. This guide was created to walk you through the enrollment process step-by-step.
- To explore: You may enter the Workday inbox item to explore coverage options and view rates. No changes will be saved unless you hit the submit button.
- To make changes: If you would like to change these plans, modify coverage, and add or delete dependents for these plans during this OE, click on the inbox item and follow the prompts to submit your selections. As you will only see your elections reflected in Workday effective as of January 1, you are encouraged to print your 2024 Benefits Summary (that will appear after you submit your elections) as a personal reference.
- To leave it all as is: If you do not want to make any changes to your coverage for these plans, you may disregard the inbox item. No action is required.
Note: There are no plan design or rate changes for Plan Year 2024 for the Vision Plan, Legal Plan or the Lincoln Financial Plans.
Important Reminders:
- BENEFICIARIES - If you are selecting Employee Voluntary Life Insurance or Employee AD&D, you will be required to provide your beneficiaries.
- EOI - Employees that select Employee Voluntary Life Insurance and Spouse Life will be required to take additional steps to confirm Evidence of Insurability (EOI). If this is the case, you will receive a To Do action step in Workday with further instructions. For details, see EOI - Instructions for Online Submission.
- ADDING DEPENDENTS - If you add dependents to Workday that do not already exist in the Workday system, you are also required to upload documents to verify their dependent status.
This does NOT apply to the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP). Open Enrollment for the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) including your medical, prescription drug and dental benefits will continue to be administered through mynjbenefitshub /benefitsolver.
