A Lecturer is a full-time employee who teaches 39 credits per year and provides student and learning support services over a twelve-month period, extending after graduation and continuing to the beginning of the school year. The Lecturer holds a strong commitment to teaching; maintains office hours; actively participates in the university community; provides Student Academic Support (SAS) including advisement, retention, recruitment and other as needed and directed academic student support activities; and does related work as required. This is a non-tenure track position that may be renewed on an annual basis. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. Courses may be taught at the Union campus, Kean Ocean, Kean Skylands or other locations. All Lecturers may be required to teach General Education courses. Position is effective for the spring 2020 semester.

Department of Counselor Education – to teach courses in the Master’s degree programs with CMHC, School, Addictions and a second-year Ph.D. in CES and coordinate the new Saturday Clinic. Master’s degree in Counseling or a related clinical mental health area; NJ license as a Counselor, Psychologist or Social Worker; and one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is required. Doctorate in Counseling or a closely-related clinical mental health area; five years of post-license experience in clinical practice; and qualifications as a clinical supervisor (ACS or similar credential) is preferred. Flexible hours are required, primarily late afternoon, evenings and Saturdays. May include Sunday hours as needed. Some travel to field sites or for developing client-referrals is required.
